Description

This is an amazing deal! 4 very engaging, very thorough, high-interest, text-based, ELA and Literacy in Social Studies Lessons that align to SO MANY STANDARDS. If you do these lessons in your English Language Arts class, you will have covered practically every Reading Informational Text Standard, quite a few Writing Standards, and many of the Reading in History/Social Studies Standards and Writing in History/Social Studies, including researching primary and secondary sources, something that is hard to find in a lesson, not to mention writing an argument, something else that is hard to come by. If you do this in Social Studies, you will have also covered many standards.

Students will be engaged in this topic that motivates kids to want to read and write. This subject matter of dogs puts kids at ease and so they will behave even better.

And as if that weren't enough, all of these lessons are available in interactive Google Slides for easy distance learning using Google Classroom! Wow!

I asked my self, "Self, are you sure you want to give ALL this away for free?" Then, my self replied, "There's a pandemic, so go for it!" It's an amazing deal.

Including:

1. "Sled Dog Racing" Informational Text & ELA Tasks

2. Write an Argument For or Against Sled Dog Racing

3. 5 Themes of Geography in Sled Dog Racing

4. WebQuest Exploring Primary and Secondary Sources
