Skip Counting by 8

This Skip Counting by 8 song is a fast and easy way to teach multiplication. The short video features us skip counting by 8 to the tune This Old Man. We added some simple animation, an owl jumping on the numbers as we sing them, to help the children follow along and sing with us.

These popular skip counting videos have been featured on television, several prominent websites, and shared tens of thousands of times on social media. They are fun and incredibly effective at helping children master skip counting. They work because they associate the set of numbers to a simple tune that the children already know. After singing it several times, they quickly memorize the sequence and can skip count without help.

Before you buy, please be aware that these videos were not professionally recorded. This was a project my young daughter and I worked on together, in our front room, around the piano. We had no idea how far they would spread, but we are thrilled that they are helping children, parents, and teachers around the world.
