Tips for slides
Use these slides in SMALL snippets throughout the year. We recommend about 10 slides at any given time.
They can be used to:
- Count from the slides as a class one at a time
- Count a few in a row (advance the slide a bit early so kids can learn to read ahead)
- Students copy the rhythm from the screen to paper & pencil or with popsicle sticks
- 4 students hold up 4 slides (printed). Class counts. 4 student mix up order, class counts. Repeat.
Tips for 4 to a page PDFs
These can be printed and used as:
- Center activity – students place them in different orders and play 4 -8 measure phrases on rhythm or barred instruments
- Non-tech review (students sitting close /on a mat so they can all see the cards)
- Keep the pile by your door. Pull them out when kids are in line waiting for their teachers
