Six Folktales from around the world that teach peace and understanding

This is a 21-page document that includes six folktales from around the world. All the stories deal with morals in forgiveness, peace, understanding, and love. The entire document may be used for K-8 although some stories may be more geared toward older students than others.

Each story has a link to a video that ties the concept together, as well as a list of questions that follow the story. The questions increase in rigor so you can adapt them to any grade level or learning style. Some suggested extensions are added at the end.

This works great in a study of folktales, or you may want to pull one story out and review and discuss it to help handle a situation in your classroom.
