Description
Students struggling understanding the difference between similes and metaphors?
Engage them in learning and using them with these TWO lessons (teaching and review) using pop music they love.
This resource contains two PowerPoints: one for teaching what similes and metaphors are and a second as a review. Both presentations utilize music and lyrics from pop stars to showcase how similes and metaphors are used in text.
Students LOVE these lessons and they connect ELA to their real lives.
Please review read notes in PowerPoints before presenting.
