Silly Sentences: Nouns, Verbs, and Prepositional Phrases

This is an independent language arts center in which students make silly sentences using nouns, verbs, and prepositional phrases. The center contains two sets of noun cards (12 in each), two sets of verb cards (12 in each), and two sets of prepositional phrases (12 in each). For each category, one set has picture support, and one does not. The cards are color-coded to help students with sentence formation. They can follow the colors to make the sentence properly, and use the picture support to read the sentence they create.

The center also contains a student direction sheet, a student reproducible, and 3 sorting mats (one for nouns, one verbs, and one for prepositional phrases).

Now also in black and white for those teachers that don't have access to a color printer! You will need to copy the nouns on one color paper, the verbs on another color, and the prepositional phrases on a third color.
