What educators are saying

My students loved these slides! We have been using high-frequency words from the Units we're in and they love the hammer and its sound.
My students love this as a brain break or even to review sight words. It is great to get them moving!

Description

Sight Words Brain Break Game / Music and Movement (Editable)

This activity allows students to exercise, engage and get the wiggles all while working on memorizing sight words and reading sentences. As a teacher I Iove this because it serves as a brain break but also prevents us from losing quality instructional time. This serves for the classroom and especially for virtual classrooms. Students long to stand up and move and this is the perfect resource to get them to engage in learning time!

This resource includes

20+ Powerpoint slides (Editable)

Sound effects & animations

5+ happy music tracks to choose from and dance along to!

Red, yellow, & green light (ex. green=shout out sight word, yellow=speaking voice, red=whisper OR green=jog in place, yellow=walk, red=freeze or tip toe)

You may open this PowerPoint with Google slides but sound effects and animations will not be available.

The slideshow will present sight words (editable) as well as a sentence to go along with it underneath. Students will repeat each word and teacher will click through slideshow to hear sound effects and see animations and movements that are there to help memorize sight words and practice reading skills. The instructor clicks to control how fast/slow the slides move so you can go slow when introducing new word, and faster once students start to master it.
