What educators are saying

I use this resource weekly with my students! The repetition helps them build their sight word knowledge.
As a 2nd grade teacher with an ESOL student and another who is still on a K level, these will help them work on and build their sight word knowledge. I really like the flow and how they build on each other from week to week.

Description

Do your students need to read sight words with fluency? Are you looking for a way to bridge that gap between home and school? Do you need a way to get parents involved in helping their students master sight words? I have the sight word resource you need and it only takes a few minutes a night.

This sight word resource is designed to help students practice sight word fluency at home each night. Parents are to circle the sight words their child reads correctly, then sign the bottom. Directions are in English and Spanish. Parents can quickly see which sight words their child knows or doesn't know.

This resource contains 45 sight word practice pages covering 130 sight words. Download the preview to see a list of all the words used.

HOW IT WORKS

Send home the one-page sight word sheet with your students. Each night students will read the sight words for one minute. As students read, parents mark the sight words read correctly. Each night they use a different color to mark the words. The goal is for students to increase the number of sight words read each day.

Each night students read the sight words for one minute.
