Description

Enjoy this Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core Standards-aligned Shared Reading activity! In this activity, your class will create their own digital classroom book about different kinds of habitats. Your students will deepen their concepts of print for nonfiction texts as they explore and create their own nonfiction book. The book begins fully written and illustrated, but as students continue reading and exploring the text, they are invited to add detail sentences to support a paragraph's main idea, to add new words to the glossary, to add relevant captions, and much more! Daily lesson plans are included in the Smartfile for ease of navigation for the teacher. This is one of the most fun and successful Shared Reading lessons I have ever taught. Enjoy!
