What educators are saying

This is a great resource to introduce Shakespeare to students! I love the fact that students can use the links in the assessment to complete the web quest independently, or the teacher can present the PowerPoint to facilitate whole group instruction.

Description

This 27-question webquest leads students through a series of online articles about Shakespeare's life, Shakespeare's language, Elizabethan theatre, and the Shakespeare authorship debate. Students have guiding questions to demonstrate their comprehension of the articles. I've also included some fun things on their quest, like a Shakespearean insult maker that generates random insults from Shakespeare's works. (Students love that part!)

After the students finish the webquest, the PowerPoint makes grading/reviewing the material a breeze. I show the questions on the PowerPoint and call on students to answer before flashing the answer. They really enjoy showing off their new knowledge. Whenever possible, I've added a helpful illustration to the slide. The PowerPoint really reinforces the information and ensures that no students have gotten off track.

Also available in Google format.
