Seven Sacred Teachings of the Seven Grandfathers (Complete Bundle)

Drawn from the First Nations Indigenous People's legend of The Seven Grandfathers, and suitable for all Grade 4 - 6 classrooms, the Seven Sacred Teachings provide guidance and support for youth of all cultures.

Throughout the previous school year, I developed activities and presented lessons on each of the Seven Sacred Teachings and sold them individually here on TpT. I am very pleased with how well they were received by students, colleagues and those of you who purchased my resources. Having now prepared lessons and activities for each of the Seven Sacred Teachings (and made revisions, improvements and additions) I have bundled them into one complete package at a savings to you.

Generally, these lessons can be presented in any order. However, I do suggest that you begin with "Introducing the Seven Sacred Teachings" and conclude with Living the Truth, as it reviews and combines all of the previous teachings.

Here is a brief outline of the contents of this bundle:

• Introducing the Seven Sacred Teachings: This 26 slide PowerPoint lesson begins with a retelling of the Legend of the Seven Grandfathers and then introduces each of the Seven Sacred Teachings and the animals associated with them. A review worksheet is also included.

• Respect: This package includes a 23 slide PowerPoint lesson with YouTube video links, a crossword puzzle and a respect lesson review sheet.

• Humility: This resource includes a 17 slide PowerPoint lesson with a YouTube video link and a two-sided humility lesson review sheet.

• Love: This resource includes a 20 slide PowerPoint lesson with YouTube video links, a self-esteem student activity and teacher's guide, and a two-sided love and kindness review sheet.

• Honesty: This package includes an 18 slide PowerPoint lesson with YouTube video links, a honesty crossword puzzle and a list of suggested cross-curricular honesty themed activities.

• Courage: This resource includes a 29 slide PowerPoint lesson with YouTube video links, a personal student wisdom self-evaluation form and a two-sided review sheet.

• Wisdom: This package includes a 15 slide PowerPoint lesson with YouTube video links, a Slippery Snakes and Learning Ladders wisdom themed game and a wisdom review sheet.

• Living the Truth: I would recommend presenting this lesson last as living the truth means to follow all of the Seven Sacred Teachings. This resource includes a 17 slide PowerPoint lesson, a student self-evaluation form, and an activity entitled "Living My Truth" in which each student prepares a guiding list of principles that they plan to live throughout their lives. A teacher's guide is also included.
