The stations can be used independently or as a teacher-guided center. They are designed to be used for 15-20 minute periods of learning. Each station consists of a student-friendly instruction sheet, an activity, a worksheet to practice the concept, and a game to practice the concept. The station also has an answer sheet for students to check the work they completed during the activity, and an answer sheet for the worksheet. Each station contains both full-color and black-and-white versions of the station, and range from 5-10 pages long.
Each Station set comes with a student accountability component. There is a student booklet that contains all 14 worksheets that correspond to the the stations, or there is a file with all 14 worksheets in 8 1/2" X 11" format. Answers for all worksheets are also included.
Each set of stations has its own unique border and clipart to make it easier to know that they all go together. All pieces are also labeled with the station that they belong to so you know exactly where to put it in when you find it on the floor later. Each station follows the same exact format to make it easier for students to learn the routine. I teach my students that it is a four-step process: 1. Read the instructions. 2. Do the activity. 3. Do the worksheet. 4. Play the game until time is up.
