Selena: The Series (ALL Episodes Questions)

SELENA: THE SERIES (SEASON 1 & SEASON 2 QUESTIONS)

This document follows along the Netflix series "Selena: The Series". There is a total of 2 seasons with 9 episodes each. It follows along through the life of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez. It's rated PG and it's great to show to students.

WHAT DOES THIS DOCUMENT INCLUDE?:

• Questions on ALL of Season 1

• Answer Keys to ALL of Season 1

• Questions on ALL of Season 2

• Answer Keys to ALL of Season 2

• Worksheet Descriptions: Each worksheet is front and back and has between 15-23 questions per episode. It includes pictures from the series as well. After each worksheet, each worksheet is pasted again with the answers. This way, you do NOT have to watch the series before showing the video. Each worksheet is labeled with the season number, episode number, and episode title. And each episode runs from 30-40 minutes.

HOW DO I USE THESE WORKSHEETS?:

I have what I call "Selena Fridays" in my classroom. Every 2 weeks, I show the Netflix show and have students fill out the worksheets. I treat these as a test grade (this way students won't talk during the show). I do this every two weeks so that I can spread the series out throughout the school year. I don't explain the history behind her or the full story because it comes off as a shock to them when they learn the whole story.

If they miss a show, they can watch it later on Netflix too, which is great.

You can use these however you want to. I just post how I use this to spark ideas for others.
