SEASONAL STEM - WINTER with PARTNER PLAYS
These quick and easy STEM Challenges will make it SIMPLE to explore STEM in your classroom, while incorporating literacy through fun PARTNER PLAYS to set up each challenge!
Each STEM challenge is introduced through a simple seasonal partner play so that the engineering challenge will be purposeful and authentic.
The STEM challenge is meant to be completed after reading each partner play, and involves solving a problem for the characters in the play.

What's Included?
★ 4 Partner Plays (2 Characters plus the Narrator) that focus on WINTER themes (snowmen, New Year's Eve celebrations, Valentines Day, animal hibernation)
★ 6 STEM challenges, including photos of student examples and simple materials list.
There are two extra STEM challenges suggested for early finishers. These challenges have more limited (and quiet) supplies, and a more narrow goal. These challenges can be completed independently at any time, or even used in an independent STEM center.
★ STEM Workbook for students to use while they create. Students are prompted to collect ideas through brainstorming, describe their testing and improvements of creations, and draw the final products. These can be used for your assessment.
