What educators are saying

This resource has helped so much in my classroom and my kids love mapping out the words each week. I have them use highlighters to highlight the sound-spelling that we are working on that week and this makes it easy for them see how those graphemes get mapped out.

Description

Use this sound mapping template for many occasions in your classroom!

Students will hear a word and must sound map it using the boxes provided. Next, students will blend and write the complete word on the line. Finally, read your students a sentence using a word and allow them to dictate the sentence on the handwriting lines. This resource is great for spelling tests, center work, or even at home practice! This resource is aligned with the Science of Reading.

Downloadable PDF comes with 10 and 15 word options. If you have less words, use extra blanks as challenge words for students!
