Science Project Bundle - STEM / STEAM

1. Paper Plane Challenge

Today, you are an Aeronautical Engineer conducting a study on plane designs. You'll be investigating factors that help airplanes stay lifted and reach their destination. Although you won't be designing an actual plane, you’ll be using the same concepts to build paper airplanes. Using only paper, tape,  and a pair of scissors, you'll be able to test which design features 

2. What a Disaster

You are a Geologist studying natural disasters. You have been assigned to select one specific type of disaster, become an expert on it, and create a website to display your findings. You must discover the science behind how your disaster is created, where  and when it is most likely to occur, the destruction it causes, and its most significant occurrences from the past.

3. Work it Out

You are a strength trainer creating a full body workout for a middle school gym class. You will use your newly found knowledge of the different types of exercise and how they affect both the body and mind. After creating the workout, you will have to do the workout yourself and create some form of deliverable to present the workout.

4. Homemade Ice Cream

(May be used as a stand alone project or with Ice Cream Shop - Part 1: Business Plan & Ice Cream Shop - Part 2: Menu Design)

You have just opened your very own Ice Cream Shop and are now attempting to perfect your own homemade recipe! You will make your very own ice cream completely from scratch using nothing but science and a few basic ingredients! You will be following a set of procedures while manipulating a few variables to see how they affect the ice cream making process.

5. Spaced Out

Today you are an astronomer who just finished a brilliant study on space and are creating a website to display your findings. You will conduct research on a space-related topic of your choosing and record information such as the formation, evolution, composition, lifespan, mass, etc of your topic on a personally designed Google Website.

6. Around the World

You are an Anthropologist - a scientist who studies societies and cultures - who has been assigned to study and become an expert on a country of your choosing. You will discover everything there is to know your country including their culture, history, language, religion, cuisine, and traditions before reporting your findings on your very own App. You will be using a Google Slides template to create the app and learn how to incorporate link features to create an interactive experience.
