Description

Do you have students that don't want to come into class during arrival time or want to leave to go home in the middle of the day? The School Time Social Story and Visuals resource helps to teach students the routine and schedule of going to school. We come to school everyday to work, listen and follow class rules. We wait for the teacher to tell us to clean up and get our backpacks. We stay in the classroom until our teacher says that it's time to go home. When school is over, we can we get on the bus or in our car.

After reading the social story with your students, I encourage you to display the visuals to remind students of the order and routine of the school day. You may even want to laminate a copy and present it to students when they refuse to come into class or express a desire to go home when it is not yet time. I also included a simplified version of the visual for students that may be overwhelmed by too much print. Enjoy!
