Description
Looking for a fun solfege game to get your kids reading solfege patterns? This ocean themed Google Slides game is the perfect thing to get students engage during the end of the school year while practicing melody. Perfect for teaching elementary music class-- in person, distance learning, or hybrid!
Each of these Google Slides activities includes 15 slides in which students choose the solfege pattern that matches the notes on the staff. It immediately tells them if they chose correctly or not-- and if not, it takes them back to try again. It is the perfect way to practice solfege while also playing a music game. Because of the versatile format, this game works in class whole group, individually on individual computers, or on Zoom during distance learning!
These games works best in PRESENT mode, although on an iPad, it may work better in edit mode (without clicking present).
The Save the Fish digital game allows students to try to "save" the clown fish (yes, like Marlin on Finding Nemo) as he encounters different obstacles along the way, including sharks, sting rays, jellyfish, and more!
After each of the successful escape attempts, students will learn 3 facts about the animal that got in the way. This is a simple and fun way to add a little bit of science and deeper knowledge to your elementary music lessons.
This Google Slides music game is for Sol and Mi. It includes sol and mi patterns on a reduced staff AND a full staff.
It also includes the same questions in a Google Forms format, so that you can assess the students' knowledge. (Also-- did you know that Google Forms are SELF GRADING?)
I recommend using the Slides game as a practice or review, and the Forms as an assessment.
