Description

Do you want your students to learn tremendous amounts while loving a fun historical novel: Sarah, Plain and Tall? This 105 page novel study is perfect for 3rd or 4th graders and includes a lapbook and a flipbook for different levels of questions.

It is focused specifically on the skills of:

  • context clues
  • comparing/contrasting
  • figurative language
  • critical thinking questions

This product includes:

  • Lapbook or Interactive Notebook (black and white and color version available)
  • Lapbook "How to Assemble" Directions (pictures and details)
  • Critical Thinking Flip Book: Chapter Questions (black and white and color version available)
  • Pictures of the layout of the lapbook created in PowerPoint

You could have students complete this on their own, in small groups/as a center (easy to use for guided reading), or as a whole class activity.

Additionally, you could also use this as an assessment, by having students complete the critical thinking chapter questions at the end.
