Description

Tired of students forgetting to line up the decimal during DECIMAL Addition & Subtraction?

Help provide your students with a SUPPLEMENTAL AID that they can use to automatically LINE UP their decimals while keeping PLACE VALUE in mind.

Decimal placement in addition and subtraction is a COMMON ERROR, widely taken advantage of during STATE ASSESSMENTS.

This foundational Supplemental Aid is a great way to help students build BEST PRACTICES when they are adding and provide a SAFE STRUCTURE for showing their work.

What's included:

- 2 Supplemental Aid for students to use during ASSESSMENTS that serves as a helpful guide in lining up decimals and number placement and helps track where numbers go for carry over and borrowing of addition and subtraction.

These two versions are a GOOGLE SLIDES version that can be assigned digitally AND also a PRINT version which can be placed behind a sheet protector for use as a GUIDED WHITE BOARD in your classroom.

GOAL: To help students be guided in PROPER ALIGNMENT of decimals during addition and subtraction, which will aid them in future digit alignment during STANDARD ALGORITHM over other operations.

METHOD: Students can use a PRINT version behind a sheet protector for quick use in the classroom, or for structured DIGITAL versions on Google Classroom, using Google Slides.
