Description

This 50+ page activity packet is filled with ready to use STEAM lessons and SEL activities appropriate for elementary students and beyond to pull out educational content found in the interactive SEL augmented reality children's book, PETER O'METER. Inside you will find:

  • 3D augmented reality coloring page with PETER, the eMotion bot: This 3D model, powered by QuiverVision app (free access) gives students a chance to see expressions for each of his six emotions matched with color and music.
  • Meet the Robots sheets: These pages introduce the characters in PETER O'METER as coloring pages and AR powered pages where they come to life with animation and music
  • Name Game: Create your robot name using prefixes and suffixes
  • Roll and Draw: Create a robot portrait with my roll and draw game
  • Ways to Unwind: Reflect on what helps you unwind as you view what PETER does to unwind with augmented reality. Use this page in your calm down corner.
  • Circuit Template: Create a simple circuit with a printable guide that lights up using LED, button cell battery, and conductive tape (or aluminum foil). Connect this to the "Circuit Maker" recess game in the story.
  • eMotion Bot Game: use the augmented reality eMotion panel to play a charades-like game to guess emotions based on facial expressions.
  • Augmented Reality Color Wheel: Fill in the color wheel, then scan it to find out the placement of the colors and the connections to emotion.
  • Which Button? A reflection sheet to use while listening to the story
  • Discussion game: create an eMotion dice and roll it as you discuss feelings
  • Math challenge: Help calculate a recharging schedule for robots
  • Room design: engineering challenge to design spaces that accommodate robots with wheels
  • PETER's World: scan the pages with QuiverVision and watch two illustrations from the book come to life as you search for extra information from the art.
  • Treasure Hunt: there are over 40 instances of augmented reality in the book and packet. Use this sheet to find them all.
