What educators are saying

Made a complex topic much more concrete for my preschool students. Parents were impressed with the knowledge and vocabulary they gained with the use of this material.
Great addition to our science unit on matter! This resource really helped deliver this tough subject to my young learners.

Description

Look no further for states of matter activities! This resource includes easy to follow lessons, exciting hands on experiments, and science notebook printables to guarantee a stress-free unit!

Teaching learners about solids, liquids, and gases helps them develop a basic understanding of how matter behaves and interacts with its environment. Through engaging and interactive experiences, they can observe and manipulate different materials through each activity.

Use the States of Matter song to introduce proper vocabulary. The sorting activities can be used as a pre-assessment to see what your students already know. However, you can also use it as a post-assessment! The easy-to-prep experiments use every day objects to demonstrate the states of matter. An added bonus is the States of Matter Lapbook so your learners can show off all their new knowledge!

Here is what you'll get:

-Solid, Liquid, Gas song and posters

-States of Matter sorting activities

-Four Experiments with step-by-step instructions

-States of Matter Lapbook

This unit is easy to prep--just print, laminate and store for future use! The experiments ask for every day supplies so no need to spend hours hunting down supplies.
