SOUTH AMERICA! Explore Brazil & Peru: Paper Puppets & Collage

This is a bundle of two art projects to introduce students to Brazil and Peru in South America, plus a fun passport booklet to fill in after completing the class!

BRAZIL: Learn about the Amazon Rainforest, and examine the stunning colors of the Macaw, and the sleek and powerful Jaguar. Experiment with textures using painted paper to make unique paper puppets in this lesson plan centered around South America's largest country.

Kids will:

• Learn about Brazil, the Amazon Rainforest and the animals that live there.
• Use cut paper and shapes to create two puppets: Jaguar + Macaw

PERU: Kids will learn about the Inca Empire, Machu Picchu and some fun facts about Llamas! They will work with watercolor, cut paper and yarn to create a collage of a scene in Machu Picchu, Peru. This unique elementary art lesson also teaches compositional elements of foreground and background. 

PASSPORT: A fun Passport Booklet to fill in after completing the class!

This package includes:
Information about Brazil & Peru – Map, Flag, Facts, Geography, Worksheet + book suggestions, and step-by-step instructions on the art project.

Through our "Exploring my World" art classes, kids will learn more about the world and its cultures, while completing unique art activities. Our program:
