What educators are saying

I used this as a fast finisher activity the month of December and my student loved it! I loved that it kept them engaged for multiple days. Great for high students.
This was a fun resource to get kids thinking about entrepreneurship. We are starting Junior Achievement and this got them excited about the concept!

Description

The holidays are a great time to practice adding up the items on your Christmas list and subtracting money because of sale prices! In this real-world activity, students will run their own toy store. They will use second and third-grade math to practice staying within a budget, solving two and three-step story problems for customers, and graphing their sales.

Language Arts standards have been integrated into this holiday activity! Students will use their knowledge of character traits to brainstorm what a good employee would act like and use persuasive writing to convince customers to visit their toy store.
