Romeo and Juliet Dicaprio (1996) Film Guide (Google Slides, PowerPoint)

The modern Romeo + Juliet film starring Leonardo Dicaprio is a great teaching tool to help connect the events of the play into a modern context. This presentation will serve as a fantastic tool for teachers looking to use the film either as a fun activity or a serious writing assignment (Included is a compare and contrast assignment that links the movie with the play). Either way, this presentation will allow the students to understand the movie and have a good idea of what to look for in the film as they watch for connections to the play. These slides are jam-packed and include background on the movie itself, connections between the film's characters and the play's characters and connections between the film's events and conflicts with the events and conflicts of the play. This presentation was A LOT of fun for my class to do and use! It is a great way to start a little project or have a fun and relaxing day! Google Slides link included.
