Tests:

  1. Chapters 1 – 3 has 54 questions
  2. Chapters 4 – 6 has 50 questions
  3. Chapters 7 – 9 has 50 questions
  4. Chapters 10 – 12 has 49 questions

Type of Questions:

  • Multiple choice;
  • Sequencing
  • True/false
  • Character identification— matching
  • Identifying quotes— fill in the blank with a name box

These tests are easy to correct and provide an accurate tool to check student’s understanding of the material.

In keeping with the Common Core Standards, page numbers are provided for teachers who choose to encourage students to use the text to find their answers.

The word “modified” only appears on the teacher’s answer keys. All modified questions are in the sequencing, quotes, and character identification portion of the tests and are on separate pages.

Detailed Answer Keys:

  • Answer keys are copies of the test with answers and some comments
  • Suggested responses for essay questions are included
  • Page and paragraph numbers for most questions
  • Extra answer keys for moveable sentences for the sequencing sections
