What educators are saying

My school has no real science curriculum, so this was awesome!! Very informational, lots of options to pick from, great for whole group or centers.
One of my favorite units to teach in science. No planning required, my students loved the pictures so they were able to put the type of a rock together to what it may look like

TEACHERS LIKE YOU SAID...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tarik O says, "This resource is awesome! It was very student friendly. We completed the reading as a class and once they got comfortable, they began completing the readings and activities on their own!"

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FarmhouseFanatic says, "Loved this resource! My students loved that the information sheets were in more simple language. I enjoyed how it was summarized and hit the important facts from the curriculum. I love that it can be cross curricular with ELA. AND my students LOVED making the brochure."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Urhai B. says, "I liked to use this resource to extend students learning during the main lesson I would be providing. There are good extra worksheets in this package along with experiments. The reading comprehension and questions was great for my students with learning disabilities because it wasn't overwhelming and at their level, which I really liked about this package. I recommend getting it if you are looking for reads that aren't overwhelming and right to the point! "

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Coffee Girl says, "Very helpful, in-depth resource! Thank you! This was enough as is, though I added some of my own resources too. I liked the ELA suggested activities, to help build connections with our science theme as we practiced writing etc."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ruth Jones Design says, "Even if you don't want to use the experiments or vocabulary cards, purchase this for the reading comprehension! High Quality and my students have loved it. It went perfectly as a supplement to our textbook. Very high quality work!"

Identify evidence from patterns in rock formations and fossils in rock layers to support an explanation for changes in a landscape over time. Examples of evidence from patterns could include rock layers with marine shell fossils above rock layers with plant fossils and no shells, indicating a change from land to water over time; and, a canyon with different rock layers in the walls and a river in the bottom, indicating that over time a river cut through the rock. Assessment does not include specific knowledge of the mechanism of rock formation or memorization of specific rock formations and layers. Assessment is limited to relative time.
