Rick Steves Venice Video Notes

This activity is great for use in a world history class during a unit on the Middle Ages, an Italian class, or a world cultures class. Start by showing the Rick Steves episode entitled "Venice: City of Dreams" then watch "Venice and Its Lagoons." While students watch, they should fill in the blanks under each topic heading. These are in order shown on the films. *Tip = assign each student one or two topics. They are responsible for taking notes during this section of the film. Afterwards, go over as a class and students will share the notes for their topic(s). This allows students to enjoy the film and not be pressed to take notes the entire time. The answer key is included.
