Rhythm-Based Halloween Color Pages/Composition Enrichment for SeeSaw

Rhythmic practice and preparation can be more fun for home and distance learning with these Halloween-themed color page activities and optional composition enrichments to be used with SeeSaw online learning portfolio. Buyers will download a PDF file that contains the following: links to three different SeeSaw activities, sample pages, and answer keys to the activities can be used with a substitute. All three activities use the same 6 color images. The differences lie in the legends that indicate which color goes with which rhythm symbol:

• The simplest activities legend matches symbol with symbol. This activity is good for primary-aged students to familiarize themselves with the appearance of rhythmic symbols before they have learned counting syllables.
• The next activity uses counting syllables in the legend. The students must use the color that connects the syllables with the proper rhythm.
• The most challenging activity connects proper rhythm names to the rhythm symbols.

The last two activities include an enrichment where students click and drag either counting syllables or proper rhythm names to four boxes representing four beats. They can then use the microphone feature to record themselves counting or clapping their pattern.

The directions are both written and recorded. With SeeSaw, you have the ability to edit the activity directions, remove various color pages, or adapt the enrichment to suit your particular class needs.
