Rhyming RTI Intervention | 6 Week Lesson Plans, Activities, and Assessments

This bundle includes all the activities, rhyming words lesson plans, checklists, formative assessments, and summative assessments for a 6-week intervention for Tier 2 students. It was created to help teachers like you be able to quickly do your RTI interventions for students who need extra help with rhyming words.

There are 12 Lesson plans you can use to teach twice a week for the intervention. The lessons are scaffolded to help students build their knowledge of rhyming . The games and activities begin with “pictures only” so the student can focus on the sounds. Then they have “pictures with words”, to help them begin to see the sounds they hear in rhyming. Lastly, students will complete rhyming games and activities that have “only words” for them to read.

Included in this rhyming intervention are 9 formative assessments, 3 summative assessments, and a checklist to track students mastery of the concepts.

Even if you don’t know how to teach rhyming to struggling students, this bundle will walk you through it step-by-step with all the needed materials to help your students be successful.

Also, included are extra rhyming activities not used in the lessons. You can use these if students need even more practice. or your other students can also do these activities in a center while you are working in your small group.

Every activity has a color set and a blackline set for easy printing.
