Description

This short worksheet can be used to help students critically think about story endings.

This is an great resource to introduce students to the idea that not all stories end how we would like them to - and that is OKAY! It can help them think about what could happen next with characters, and it can help them tie up loose ends.

I like to use this with the book Triangle by Mac Barnett because the story ends quite abruptly. After I read the book to the class, we talk about whether or not they like the end to the story, why they like it or don't like it, and then I have them write a new ending and draw a picture that goes with their ending.
