INTENDED AUDIENCE:
I recommend these materials for high school or junior high students, mainly because the vocabulary is high in two of the three the example essays. Since they are editable, however, you can adjust their readability.
The example essays and rubric can also be used at the outset of an argumentative writing unit to help students understand the teacher's expectations.
TIME FRAME:
This revision activity and evaluation of example essays has a flexible time frame. You could spend anywhere between one class period to one whole week working through the revision and editing process with a rough draft, depending on your goals for student writing.
FORMAT:
When you download the resource, you will have one PDF file. Open that file, and read through the suggested use to find all of the Google Drive links. Resources are either Google Slides or Google Docs. If you prefer to use Microsoft format, you can download the Google Drive files as PowerPoints, Docs, and PDFs. All of the resources included in this file are editable.
