What educators are saying

This resource was a great help to my 2nd graders while we have been researching our topics and then writing about them in class.
this was a great visual and graphic for my students while they were doing their research project, it kept them organized and focused on key components

Description

All the templates and graphic organizers your students will need for their next research project! The pages included are general enough to be used for any topic and are designed to help you guide your students through their research or inquiry project(s).

Suggested lesson sequence: Allow students to select a topic and start with a 'Know, Want to Know' activity. Have students research their subjects using non-fiction books or websites and record their findings using the provided templates. The activity culminates with a student-made pamphlet (also called a tri-fold or brochure). Have students reflect on their learning by filling out the 'Learned' section of the KWL chart and the ‘My Work Habits’ self-evaluation.

A Self and Peer Editing Checklist is also provided with this set. If you would like to check out the quality of this checklist, you can download it for FREE here.

This set includes:
• A KWL Chart
• A KWHL Chart (alternate to KWL)
• My Research Notes (Book Version)
• My Research Notes (Website Version)
• Pamphlet Template (2.0 Line Spacing)
• Pamphlet Template (1.5 Line Spacing)
• My Editing and Peer Editing Checklist
• Self-Evaluation
