This unit contains a notes packet, corresponding slideshow, and a end of segment project.
Students will learn from a medical perspective
- How the reproductive system of both males and females operate
- The functions of various birth control options
- The effect of STIs/STDs on the reproductive system
There is no discussion of the actual event of conception or real world depictions of the reproductive systems in these materials.
The project included has students focus on a STI/D and conduct research to determine their causes, prevention, effects and treatment.
