Description

Includes game, answer key, and poster. All you will need is 1 paper clip for each game of 2 players. Use the answer key to make this a self-checking center. Print the poster to use for the whole class or as a visual aid support students can refer to as they are playing.

This activity can be used during centers, in a teacher-led group, or as a review activity.

Students will use a paper clip to spin each spinner. Each student will write the unit spun on the gameboard. The students will discuss whose unit of measure is smaller and, therefore, will need more of that unit to measure an object. The student with the smaller unit will circle the unit they wrote (see example on the game board). That student will then place a counter on the game board. The student who places all of their counters on the gameboard first, wins.
