What educators are saying
Description
In this Reconstruction activity on the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments, students closely examine the text of the Reconstruction Amendments to decide their impact in Reconstruction and the freedmen community. Once students have dissected these three landmark amendments, students turn their focus to how the South responded by the passage of these amendments. Here, students examine two documents that focus on how the South responded and how the freedmen were affected.
