This 102-page unit is a supplement for the Reading Wonders series Grade 2 Unit 4, Week 2. I wanted activities and centers that provide visual supports, readable fonts, clear directions, and structure for my students to practice the skills introduced by Reading Wonders.

*Finding Text Evidence, Responding to Reading and Writing About Reading

*Name that Picture (er, ir, & ur) Center
*Build a Word (guided practice building words with er, ir, & ur) - 3 versions
*Reading Sentences
*Zap! High Frequency Sight Word Game (includes words from Unit 3 Week 5 and Unit 4 Week 1)
*Vocabulary Match-Up
*Helping Verbs Center (has, had, & have center)
*Fix It! Center (fixing capitalization and quotation marks)
*Adding Endings Center (adding -ed or -ing to short vowel and CVCe words)

I have kept some of the centers similar to ones found in previous units so that my students are familiar with the activities. This helps them begin independent work quickly.
