Includes ten worksheets to help reinforce predicting as a reading strategy. Each worksheet includes two short reading passages with questions asking students to predict and to explain the clues they used to make their predictions.

Making Connections Worksheet Pack

Includes ten worksheets to help reinforce connecting as a reading strategy. Each worksheet includes a reading passage with questions asking students to make two text-to-self connections, two text-to-world connections, and two text-to-text connections.

Making Inferences and Drawing Conclusions Worksheet Pack

Includes 15 worksheets to help reinforce making inferences and drawing conclusions as a reading strategy. Each worksheet includes a reading passage with questions asking students to make three inferences about the text. They also have to explain how they made each of their inferences (using clues from the text or by drawing connections to their own life).

Visualizing (Visualising) Worksheet Pack

Includes 20 worksheets to help reinforce visualizing (visualising) as a reading strategy. Each worksheet includes a short reading passage and requires students to draw a picture to represent the text.

This resource includes both British English (visualising) and American English (visualizing) versions of the worksheets.

Summarizing (Summarising) Worksheet Pack

Includes ten worksheets to help reinforce summarizing (summarising) as a reading strategy. Each worksheet includes a reading passage with questions and prompts asking students to summarize (summarise) the text in their own words.

This worksheet pack includes a mixture of fiction and non-fiction texts.

Also included are four graphic organizers for summarizing (summarising) as well as summarizing (summarising) student notes and sentence starters/prompts.

Both American English and British English versions are included in this download, simply unzip the file and select the PDF with spelling that you need.
