    Description

This is a big bundle of 8 Reading Strategies Units!

These reading strategies can be used to both teach a new strategy or as reading support. Teachers first introduce a skill with practice and notes, then students practice the skill multiple times with small or whole group practice, journaling activities, and individual (On Your Own) practice. Finally, teachers can assess students' understanding and application of the reading strategy with the included summative assessments.

The included reading strategy units are:

    • Visualizing
    • Questioning
    • Main Idea
    • Inference
    • Summarizing
    • Text Features
    • Text Structure
    • Synthesizing

A Full Week of Instruction - Plus Extras

Instruction for each unit is broken down into steps:

    1. Notes

    2. Practice in small group or with a partner

    3. Journal

    4. Individual Practice

    5. Assessment

There are two different pages for both journaling (most units) and assessment (all units), so the skill can be retaught.

    Flexible Use

The individual practice pieces can be used with any book - allowing teachers to easily differentiate the lesson for their students.

    2 Formats Included:

All activities except assessment are provided in both an interactive notebook format and a printable format. Teachers can choose which version they would like to use.

Each unit has about 24 pages of activities.

Purchasing this bundle saves 20% off the full price of each unit!

    DIGITAL UNITS

Do you need digital units instead of printable? These lessons are also available in Google Slides format. Check them out HERE.
