Reading Level Guide for Parents - Bundle of Levels A - Z

Encourage reading every night by sending this guide home to parents throughout the school year. Parents want to help their students, but many don't know the things to say and ask their child throughout reading time! This handout serves as an outline of what some effective, higher - order prompts might look like.

All of the prompts are based off my experience teaching reading skills and behaviors to students (and explaining these expectations to parents) and the Fountas & Pinnell Continuum of Reading. Each page explains what each reading level looks like (skills they would see the child doing independently) and what families can do to support and extend their child's reading. Each pages includes accuracy, comprehension skills, and fluency questions and prompts.
