What educators are saying
Description
Your students will be so proud of this Fall book report project! You can use this 3D Pumpkin Book Report Activity to analyze the story elements from any fictional piece – from read alouds, to shared reading, to guided reading, to independent reading.
Students will answer each of the six questions about story elements using a well-formed paragraph (plot, characters, setting, problem, resolution, and theme). Paragraphs should contain evidence of their own thinking, as well as evidence from the text (as outlined in the rubric). A rubric is included for a summative assessment of the book they are using, which makes this a great option for a non-traditional book report.
This resource contains options for two different sizes of pumpkins – one on full sheets (great for display in a larger area and writing longer answers), and one on half sheets (great for smaller display areas and shorter answers). Print only the size you need.
This resource is included in my October Craftivities - Literacy Themed Craftivities which contains 3 different craftivities perfect for the month of October.
