Reading Comprehension and Fluency Passages offers 2 versions:
*version 1- read the text 3 times and color a star after each time you read the text
-color the sentences within the text that contain the answer to the 3 questions asked (so students will not write anything, just color )
- draw a picture that matches the text
*version 2 - read the text 3 times and color a star after each time you read the text (for fluency)
- write the answer to each question and color the evidence in the text ( to get students used with the Common Core language)
- illustrate the text
Reading Comprehension and Fluency Passages Nonfiction offers 2 versions as well:
*version 1 - read the text 3 times and color a star after each time you read the text

I don't know the reading level of your students,but here are some suggestions based on how I do it:
*2nd grade: can do this independently
*1st grade : use the overhead to model it ;if small group,you can tape the worksheet on a small board as you are going over the answers with your students
