This resource includes 32 informational (nonfiction) passages with four comprehension questions for each. This is meaningful close reading practice with a rigorous review of key reading skills associated with informational texts.

The comprehension questions and tasks have been designed to require students to provide text evidence to support their answers for both literal and inferential questions. Questions cover a variety of reading skills.

Passages in this resource are short, high-interest nonfiction texts covering a wide variety of topics.


These informational reading comprehension passages (and questions) come in THREE unique versions. You pick the one that works best for your class.
