    Description

Weather BUNDLE: Predicting the Weather: Cloud types with leveled Reader's Theatre scripts and Vocabulary cards

Engage your learners with these fun and leveled Reader's Theatre scripts and vocabulary cards. Utilize these scripts to help your students learn about how to predict the weather by looking at the types of clouds in the sky and what they mean.

This bundle includes two leveled scripts and a set of vocabulary cards that reinforces science words from the scripts themselves. Students will learn how to identify cumulus, cirrus, nimbus, and stratus clouds and what they tell us about the weather with fun characters and enjoyable dialogue.

    • The Level 2 script is perfect for your "on grade level" or above students (aimed at grades 2nd-4th). There are 8 roles with 2 larger speaking roles.

    • The Level 1 script is simplified and shorter but still full of great science content. This script will meet the needs of your struggling or "below grade level" students (Or would be perfect for your 1st grade students that are strong readers). There are 5 roles with one larger speaking role.

    • The vocabulary cards cover the underlined science vocabulary words throughout the scripts with visuals and kid friendly definitions that include parts of speech. There are 12 vocabulary words total. These are a great visual to add to any weather unit and can be printed as posters to add to a Word Wall!

Incorporating Reader's Theatre into your science content not only reinforces the science standards but also covers science vocabulary, reading skills, fluency, and speaking and listening skills.

This bundle would be a great tool to use in guided reading groups or in science centers. To extent it further, you could have students design a backdrop and props and perform this play for their classmates or families.
