Reader's Theater Scooby Doo

Loosely based on Scooby Doo and Zombie Island, the Mystery Inc. Gang once again solves a mystery. This time the appearance of zombies at a local camp has caused the camp to close down and the gang must find out the suspects and if the zombies are actually real.

This is a great way to get your students interacting with English in fun ways that they relate to that also provides a template for public speaking and working as a team.
This script provides the structure for a play or Reader's Theater for 10 or more students. Parts can be added or combined as needed. Many parts have ambiguous genders and can be altered easily. Extra parts have been added to create a larger cast. Character descriptions can be changed to suit student's needs and make each student feel special. Basic music suggestions are provided. This play was originally written for and performed by ELL in a Russian children's camp, so the country and names of places can be changed to relate better to the students. The dialogue is simple, allowing ELLs to focus on pronunciation rather than memorizing long texts. A suggested vocabulary list is also provided.
