(Davy Crockett, Mike Fink, John Henry, Molly Pitcher) Each play is written on a different reading level and helps meet the Language Arts common core standards in the areas of traditional literature, elements of a drama, and fluency & expression!
ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Each play is approximately 2 pages long, contains 4-6 character parts, and introduces students to the traditional folk tale characters. Since each play is based on 4 traditional folktales, students will be able to compare and contrast as they perform them; helping to meet the CCSS: RL.4.9. Compare and contrast the treatment of similar themes and topics (e.g., opposition of good and evil) and patterns of events (e.g., the quest) in stories, myths, and traditional literature from different cultures.
WHAT MAKES THIS RESOURCE UNIQUE?
