Description

Teaching about forms of energy or UV rays? Play with solar beads! Students will see the beads change color when they are exposed to UV light. In this experiment students will test different variables (sunglasses, sunscreen, shade) and measure the color change of the beads. Included in this download is a powerpoint presentation and lab worksheet students fill out when they are outside with the beads.

Materials needed: Solar beads, plastic bag, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a sunny day!
