Description

Do your students struggle with answering text-dependent questions? Introducing them to the RACE writing strategy could be a total game-changer for you and your students!

RACE Stands For:

Restate the question

Answer all parts of the question

Cite evidence to support your answer

Explain how your evidence proves your answer

This Google Doc Resource is 100% EDITABLE and comes in THREE different versions, ranging from maximal to minimal guidance/support. This is great for differentiation or if you teach multiple grade levels. Each version includes an interactive checklist at the top for students to use as they write their responses.

Writing well-constructed responses is a major part of most ELA standardized tests, so the more students practice this skill throughout the year, the better off they will be for Spring testing!
