Quelle heure est-il? | Telling Time in French | Printable Activities | Set # 2

Teaching students to tell time in French and answer the “Quelle heure est-il?” question can be so fun with just the right activities!

This set of activities includes a variety of different practice exercises to help your students tell time in French. In the first activity, students will read 9 French sentences about time and then draw the time on the clocks. On the bottom of the same activity, students will pick their own time, draw the hands on the clock and then write sentences to represent that time. This activity has two versions: one with hours/quarter hours/half hours and another with any minute on the clock. The second activity has students match the time on the clock to a corresponding sentence. This two page activity has 15 questions. The next activity has students read the time on the clock and then cut and paste the time below it. They can either do this with time in an analog format or using the sentence. Finally, the last activity has students find the mistake in the sentence, rewrite it and then draw the hands on the clock to represent that time.
