Description

This project for graphing quadratic equations is a great way to give students practice with real world problems.

Included in this download are the following:

  • Blank Project Sheet for Students
  • Project Instruction Sheet
  • 30 Quadratic Equations with Descriptions
  • Sample of Student Work

30 different quadratic equations with descriptions are included, and each student will need one to create a project.

Students will create the graph of their equation by finding the vertex and intercepts. Then, they will write a detailed story based on the description given and the specific information from their graph. The blank project sheet allows a spaces to neatly organize the work.

You will receive a PDF as well as an editable version in powerpoint (.pptx).

These are great activities for a project or for extra credit. Students will enjoy seeing the different graphs and stories since each one will be unique.

Please note: A detailed answer key for all the possible projects is not included. A sample of a completed student sheet is included for reference.
